Those who wish to scoff at my claim that soccer is indeed the most democratic and ecumenical of all sports, please take a look here! I wonder if the language remains holy when a foul is drawn. And are they playing to score a soccer goal or attain a higher one? What is amply clear is that they are definitely having some earthly fun.
P.S: I am going out on a limb to predict the 2006 World Cup Soccer champs (in the descending order of probability.)
1. Argentina 2. Spain 3. Germany or Brazil

I am going to stick by the prediction. But if the game against Japan was any indication, Brazil seems to be getting its rhythm back.

i was waiting until the brazil v. japan game to comment. and i see you've updated your prediction as well!
it is tough to imagine any team beating brazil. despite the fact that ronaldinho is off his game and ronaldo has lost a step or two (to say the least!), they are getting better every game. kaka is at the top of his game.
i hope the coach realizes he cannot keep robinho out of the first 11. there hasn't been a player with that kind of touch and style since pele (they just have to feed him more food or the wind will blow him away).
i really hope we get to see brazil against argentina.
